Expecting to enroll 6,000 students by 2025, the Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Taicang campus, will be a model for future international universities in China. The campus will be a hub for research and development partnerships between industry and academia.
The master plan proposes a matrix of interconnected learning concourses that create a “Hive” for cross-disciplinary collaboration. The campus transforms traditional quadrangle-based planning into a modular system that combines public exhibits, industry-led research facilities and academic colleges into a single ensemble.
