Lassonde Studios

Approached with the task of designing a 400 bed university housing building alongside
a 20k sf makerspace, the team saw an opportunity to invent a new building
typology. Programming became prototyping as elements from both building types
were examined and recombined in ways that would result in a new type of academic
resource building where students can live, meet, experiment, and turn their ideas
into reality.
